Good Times

The downside to constantly having a good time at play, is that work seems incredibly dull when you get back to the office. Lol.

Anyway, the super long weekend came and went in a flash, and as usual, I had a blast.

Had a picnic with the girls on Thursday at Hort Park. The idea for a picnic came about on our weekly walks, when we discovered that Hort Park was a lovely and relatively uncrowded place to hang out. We fell in love with one of the fields and decided that we had to have a picnic there one day.

Girly picnics are always a hoot. The food was delicious and healthy, and we even managed to set up a mini bar counter. Lol. My favourite part of the picnic was lying on the grass looking up at the sky.

On Friday, we went to Ubin to cycle. The usual suspects were there, +3, fashionjeannie, S and metamorphoenix. LGG apparently forgot she had to go to BKK. We suspect she just can't cycle and refuses to admit it. Hehe.

Ubin was brilliant, and not as crowded as I expected. I think the long weekend over Hari Raya and National Day meant that a lot of people went overseas instead.

Walked along the boardwalk at Chek Jawa, took silly pictures with +3, ate a yummy lunch at the jetty.

The relatives from Malaysia came over on Saturday, and I spent most of the day recovering from the previous day's exhaustions and also helping my mom with some food preparation.

Ah Bing came over to help out and learn as well, and it was nice chatting with her and getting to know her a little bit better.

I also invited +3 to come over for dinner, because one cannot miss a spread like the one that my mom prepared. There was lasagne, palabok, macaroni salad, buku salad, that sour pork soup thing, grilled vegetables and a braised duck (that was bought).

So. Much. Food. So. Yummy.

+3 scored major points that night just by showing up. Hur hur. I think the family was quite relieved that he was 1. chinese 2. taller than me 3. a nice guy. Lol. Plus, he scored extra brownie points when the kitchen door came apart and he fixed it. (Thanks Universe!)

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

All in all, a successful dinner. Hehee.

Sunday was a nua day. Had a nice random catch up with Y, met +3 for a second round of breakfast, and CH called to check if I was in the area to have lunch.

Hung out at his place to finish up some work, lazed around playing PvZ, then had dinner and headed back.

Good times. :)
